Procedure

Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee Budget Allocation Process

  1. Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee (SAFAC) Annual Budget Process
    1. All clubs and organizations or academic co-curricular activities will submit annual budget requests to the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee, and the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee will make annual percentage allocation recommendations to the President for such groups.
    2. The following seven areas will be guaranteed student activity fee monies:
      1. William Whipple Art Gallery
      2. Intramurals
      3. Music
        1. Concert Choir
        2. Jazz Band
        3. Marching/Pep Band
        4. Symphonic Band
        5. Vocal Ensemble
      4. Mindscape
      5. The Spur
      6. Speech Activities and Theatre
        1. Forensics
        2. Radio and TV
        3. Theatre
      7. Student Association
        1. Student Association
        2. Student Activities Committee
    3. If the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee determines any of these seven areas needs to receive more than a 5 percent budget reduction from the preceding fiscal year, it may recommend an allocation decrease to the President. No more than a 5 percent budget reduction may take place without prior approval from the President.
