A variety of testing services are available from SMSU Counseling & Testing Services. A certified Pearson VUE testing center offers the MTLE exams and many other exams available through the Pearson VUE testing program. Other testing programs available include CLEP, DSST, and the On-Campus ACT.

Students who wish to complete the ACCUPLACER for placement in MATH 110 College Algebra (3 cr.) and ENG 151 Academic Writing (4 cr.) should contact Kaitlyn Giles at 507-537-7273 or Kaitlyn.Giles@SMSU.edu to verify which tests are needed. To make arrangements to pre-register for the ACCUPLACER assessment at SMSU or enrollment at another Minnesota State institution should contact Counseling.Testing@SMSU.edu.
