Course Repeat

You may repeat a course at any time regardless of the grade previously obtained in that course. If you are receiving Financial Aid, check with the Financial Aid Office to verify a repeated course can be paid for by your Financial Aid award.

After repeating a course, both the old and the new grade will appear on your official transcript. When a student repeats a course, the best grade obtained and credits earned will be counted in the grade point average, but the credits are considered to be credits attempted each time the course is taken. Consortium courses will count as repeat courses.

The Registration Office documents repeats at the end of each semester on your transcript. Should you find a course listed on your transcript not shown as a repeat that should be, please report that repeat to the Registration Office in person or by calling (507) 537-6206.

Note: While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, SMSU reserves the right to correct any clerical errors herein. Also, you can submit feedback.
