Policy

Student Rights in the Event of Instructor Replacement

Following a formal announcement of an instructor change after the first three weeks into a semester, students in the class(es) will have five instructional days in which to select and report a new grading option. If the instructor is replaced in a course which normally does not allow the CR/NC option, this option will be allowed. The maximum number of hours permitted to be taken using the CR/NC option will be raised to accommodate students selecting this option.

Students with no financial aid have three options:

  1. Continue with class and grading system currently in place;
  2. If the class is not on this grading system, switch to a CR/NC grading system;
  3. Withdraw from the class, receive a tuition refund, and have the course removed from their transcript

Students whose financial aid is affected have three options:

  1. Continue with class and grading system currently in place;
  2. If the class is not on this grading system, switch to a CR/NC grading system;
  3. Withdraw from the course without a tuition refund
